Greetings!
(I'm reading this book "The Rosie Project" and the main character says "Greetings" instead of "Hello" or "Hey" or "Hi" and now I'm doing it too! LOL - By the way it is an excellent read. )
This is my second layout created with the gorgeous (and they are all gorgeous I kid you not) July Scraps of Elegance Kit "Sunshine and Sweet Tea." You can find this kit, all our kits and online store HERE.
My background paper and layers are from the Blue Fern Courtship Lane Collection.
I used the BoBunny Butterfly Kisses papers to fussy cut the blue florals. I also used lots of gorgeous flowers from Prima and Petaloo. We carry the Petaloo Botanica Brown Floral Ephemera in the online store here which I used to layer among the pink and blue. I also used a vintage photo which came on a digital collage sheet in a past Scraps of Darkness kit.
I had a wooden floral rose from Kaisercraft on hand and I painted it in pink Lindys mist then embossed it in pink and white encrusted jewels. More inking over it in green and brown. Encrusted jewels are my favorite embossing powders and you should try them out if you haven't yet. We have a variety and you can find them HERE.
You can see the effect of the embossing on the leaves.
I used a Finnabair stencil and colored some modeling paste before spreading it. Also layered in some stenciling in two and three tones.
Canvas Corp has a mesh ribbon that I love. I used some gel medium to adhere it to deli paper then embossed over it in purple encrusted jewels. I then tore it apart and tucked it in for more layering and texture.
Also added some misted cheesecloth. Just love cheesecloth!
Thanks a ton for stopping by. I would love to hear from you so leave a comment and share your thoughts.
